Job Title: Cast Machine Shop Setter / Operator

Salary: £42,840 per annum

Shift Pattern:

Sunday 10pm – 6am Monday

Monday 6pm – 6am Tuesday

Tuesday 6pm – 6am Wednesday

Wednesday 6pm – 6am Thursday

 (44 Hours per Week)

Location: West Bromwich

Cast Machine Shop Setter / Operator Job Function: -

Set up of required CNC & Heavy equipment within the Cast Machine area. Processes in depth knowledge of machine set up and equipment functionality. Able to work on own initiative to ensure all production machines are set up and available to run as required. Has the ability to fault find and correct set ups accordingly based on feedback from Quality/technical/production departments. Works methodically, safely, and always follows best practice. Escalates any problems to line manager in a timely manner and always adheres to company Health and Safety protocols including the use of PPE within the designated areas, ensures machines operate to achieve hourly output

Cast Machine Setter Job Duties: -

·Sets up production machinery in a timely manner.

·Able to problem solve and resolve any set up issues.

·Recommends improvements to better productivity/quality/safety.

·Responsible for quality of First off products following set up

·Carries out Daily machine TPM Checks and records on check sheet.

·Responsible for Pre-setting and tool management.

·Ensures that all documentation required for production are available on the machines and handed over to run.

·Conducts analysis of tool breakages, incorrect set ups and other production defects to recommend improvements to manufacturing processes.

·Always keeps work area tidy and cleans as required to maintain a consistent 5s standard.

·Any issues related to Safety, equipment malfunction, Quality concerns or loss of production must be reported to line manager in a timely manner.

·Willing to cross train and exchange knowledge within the team to broaden one’s own knowledge and train others.

·Operates machinery in a production capacity ensuring hourly targets

·Works well with others and strives to build a positive working environment leading to a motivated successful team.
