Yard Operative/Counterbalance Forklift Driver - Leamington Spa

The Role: Yard Operative/Counterbalance Forklift Driver 

Status: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Leamington Spa

Rate: £11 per hour - Overtime after 40 hours at Time and one third

The Client: Dating back to 1870, this family run business supplies high quality outdoor furniture.

They are now seeking to recruit an outstanding Yard Op/Forklift Counterbalance Driver to join their small established team.

The majority of time will be working outdoors in snow, rain, wind and beautiful sunshine!!

Key Responsibilities:

• To keep the yard and surrounding areas of the business clean and tidy
• Unloading and loading of vehicles
• Unwrapping and wrapping of products
• Dipping of products
• Occasional need to work within the assembly area at quite times of the year
• General warehouse duties associated with a SME business

Candidate Profile

• You must be physically fit as the nature of work does include some manual handling of goods
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workload whilst being flexible to the day to day needs of the business
• Given it’s a small team, this role is a standalone position, hence integral to the continued success and growth of the business
• Polite, understanding team player who has strong values relating to individual and team performance

40 hrs basic, can be flexi hours, Monday – Friday

Key criteria – Number one priority - good sense of humour. Secondary requirements, good ‘work ethic’ and good mixer with people. Skills can be taught! This comes directly from the client.
