Shift: Monday to Friday 0730-1630

My prestigious client (top 50 fastest-growing companies in Coventry and Warwickshire) has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Junior Fabricator, assisting the Facilities & Engineering Support Engineer with process improvements; including working closely with Engineering and Facilities to ensure jig stock is kept in good condition along with other fabrication tasks which are needed to support Production and Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Engineering team to develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying
  • Assist with improving manufacturing efficiency, this may include working with production/logistics and Quality  
  • Work efficiently and in an organised manor
  • Fabricating or organising the fabrication of replacement and new parts for production lines
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Control of workshop including equipment and stores within in it
  • Keep track of items used from stores i.e. gas, welding wire, material

Person Specification:

  • Experience working with metal and welding
  • Knowledge of oxygen and acetylene
  • Proven evidence of a hands on approach in previous roles
  • Experience within continuous improvement
  • Basic Welding and fabricating skills
  • Experience with Metal grinding and cutting
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and deliver strategies
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills
  • Ability to adapt and respond to change
  • Able to demonstrate ability to achieve objectives and exceed expectations
