The Role: Operations Manager

Location: Coventry

Salary:  £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 0700-1630

Status: Permanent

The Client: Family-run business specialising in the provision of workwear for some of the biggest brands within the UK.

The Opportunity: Due to continued growth and expansion, our values driven client is seeking to recruit an outstanding Operations Manager who has the ability, drive, and enthusiasm to paint a blank canvass resulting in a Mona Lisa portrait!

This exceptional position covers:

  • Management of all functions of the warehouse, logistics and production.
  • Leadership of the warehouse and production teams including:
    • Holding staff to account on agreed KPI’s.
    • Development of people to ensure scalability of departments.
    • Coaching staff on the most efficient working practices.
  • Developing and executing effective operations strategy which supports the company growth trajectory and plans including global delivery.
  • Delivering continuous improvement in terms of:
    • Efficiency (labour %, pick rates, pack rates)
    • Cost (packaging, logistics, space utilisation)
    • Client experience (lead times, product presentation)
    • Quality (storage, stock rotation)
  • Effective management of outsourced contractors and logistics providers, including:
    • Successful procurement to ensure the most competitive rates.
    • Ensuring partners provide the best possible service to ensure that their client experience is ahead of the market.
    • Holding partners to account on agreed SLA’s and quality standards.
  • Responsibility for site health & safety and legal adherence.
  • Involvement and input into new business bids and tenders (from an Operations perspective).
