My client is seeking to recruit an outstanding Procurement Lead to coordinate the company’s supply of products and services. The Procurement Leads’ responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective rates and suppliers so that the company can invest in growth and its people.

The fundamentals of the role:

  • Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies 
  • Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships    
  • Researches new products & services to meet company goal’s
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and service
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
  • Examine and test existing contracts & relationships
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
  • Aid & support for PM’s when issues arise with suppliers, to ensure satisfactory resolutions can be reached as quickly as possible

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement
  • European procurement experience, including documentation, regulations, transport, etc
  • Global procurement experience, including documentation, regulations, transport, etc
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
  • Talent in negotiations and networking
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analysing data
