The Role: Quality Manager

Location: Coventry

Salary: £50k - £55k

The Role:


  • Meet all quality requirements of the Client standards and customer requirements
  • Implementation, training and continuous development of the quality management system and associated processes
  • Manage all process and product audits including corrective actions  
  • Lead and co-ordinate all testing and equipment control
  • Implementing best in class standards for inspection processes
  • Complete regular audits to ensure compliance to internal and external customer standards
  • Quality system reporting, liaison with external parties, audits and customers
  • Initiating and implementing the best-in-class quality standards within all plant processes

Management of Quality Department

  • Promote and develop the way that the Quality Department is viewed by the business
  • Develop members of the team in order that they can provide value added ‘Quality’ service to the business
  • Allocate, support and review work accordingly
  • Develop staff training programs related to quality
  • Conduct Performance Appraisals related to Quality
  • Develop and monitor compliance to Department objectives
  • Ensure control/ maintenance of the Quality Budget
  • Ensure effective communications within the business with regards to Quality

Contribute to and manage the implementation of the Quality strategy

  • Work closely with Senior Management to create business focused solutions to Quality issues
  • Ensure the Quality strategy is aligned to and supports the overall business strategy
  • Create and manage appropriate systems and processes, that support the implementation and ongoing application of the Quality strategy
  • Co-ordinate the relevant action plans and work groups with the other departments
  • Responsibility for ensuring Product Quality

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in a production environment
  • Previous experience with ISO900 quality standards
  • Previous experience in Microsoft office applications
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, Problem Solving, FMEA, KATA
  • Experience in auditing and statistics
  • Full driving licence
