Salary: £19,000

The Client:

A new opening of a four-star independent boutique hotel with 22 luxurious bedrooms.

The Role:

  • Taking direct reservation bookings via telephone, email and walk in guests
  • To conduct show rounds of the hotel and grounds in a professional manner
  • In liaison with the Front Office Manager and the Wedding & Events coordinator maximise bedroom occupancy and revenue
  • Ensure that the room sales budget is met and have an inspiring pro-active approach to sales
  • To assist the Front Office Manager to manage and administer GDS, third party websites and the channel manager
  • To work alongside the Front Office Manager to ensure the workload is managed effectively
  • To attend departmental training sessions
  • To attend operational meetings, revenue strategy & business review meetings and monthly HOD meetings as required
  • Assist with preparation of the room sales annual budget and business plan
  • Checking the day-to-day arrival list to make sure that all bookings are correct for guest arrival
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports as required by the General Manager
  • To assist with checking guests in and out and to take wedding, meeting and event enquires if needed

The Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in a high quality and busy 4 or 5-star hotel environment with a genuine interest or desire to progress in hospitality
  • A desire to be ‘the best’ with high standards
  • Strong training and development skills so you can share your skills and knowledge with others
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
  • Strong experience in conversion and execution of enquiries
  • Computer skills using Guestline would be an advantage
