About the Role

Our fabulous family run business is looking for a dynamic, driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to help them grow their presence and impact across the Southwest region. In this role, you will be the face for both existing and prospect businesses and key partners—building strong relationships, delivering high-value products and solutions, accelerating growth in this vibrant location/market.

You'll own your region like a business, championing our clients’ premium products with energy, urgency, and professionalism. From cultivating new opportunities to closing deals and supporting customers post-sale, you'll help partners achieve more while enhancing our client’s reputation for quality and innovation.

The Role Profile:

  • Consistently achieve or exceed monthly sales targets (“Deals Won”) and service KPIs.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with end users, contractors, developers, architects, and installers.
  • Own, manage, and grow your sales pipeline—identify, qualify, and close new business.
  • Deliver technical support and presentations to clients (including CPD-style sessions).
  • Be present on-site and in client meetings—your region is your business.
  • Collaborate closely with Strategic Accounts, Lead Generation, and Channel teams to maximise opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM—log meetings and calls within 24 hours.
  • Represent our fabulous client with energy, urgency, and a relentless customer-first approach.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven success in business development, field sales, specification selling or a similar customer-facing role. Ideally from the Construction/Landscaping or similar types of sectors.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Resilience, confidence, and a proactive, “get stuff done” mindset.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and CRM discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of the Southwest region.
  • Courage and creativity to prospect, cold-call, and develop new business.
  • Ability to work at pace and under pressure while maintaining quality.

What Success Looks Like

  • Achieving or exceeding monthly sales targets.
  • Building a consistently high-quality, fast-moving sales pipeline.
  • Strong relationships with key influencers and partners.
  • Seamless, premium customer experiences that set our client apart in the region.

Our Clients True Values

  • Empowerment: Help customers and teammates succeed.
  • Performance: Deliver exceptional results.
  • Integrity: Do the right thing, always.
  • Care: Support our customers, partners, and each other.

Why should you apply?

  • Work with a premium, innovative product range.
  • Shape your regional strategy and customer relationships.
  • Flexible remote working with regional travel.
  • A culture of growth, learning, and excellence.
  • Be part of a dynamic team which leads by example and empowers its employees to deliver beyond their own expectations
  • Outstanding salary and benefits programme
