The Opportunity
As a key member of the Engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining the manufacturing facility through a combination of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime and equipment reliability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding quickly to mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs.
- Supporting the installation and commissioning of new production equipment.
- Completing condition-based monitoring activities.
- Maintaining accurate records using the CMMS system.
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Working closely with Production and Engineering teams to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the site.
What We're Looking For
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment. 50% Electrical 50% Mechanical.
- Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with reactive, preventative and planned maintenance.
- Knowledge of CMMS systems.
- A hands-on, proactive approach with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- IPAF Certification.
- IOSH Managing Safely (or similar).
- Experience with plant installations and commissioning projects.
