Project Buyer - Derbyshire

The Role: Buyer (Projects)

Location: Burton on Trent

Salary: £47,000-£50,000 pay rolled directly by the client

Shift: Monday to Thursday 08.00am – 16.30pm. Friday 08.00am – 1.30 pm

Status: 12-month fixed-term contract.

Role Profile: We are seeking to hire someone with a strong background within Manufacturing or/and Engineering, ideally Rubber or/and Metals.

Summary: The role will be reporting directly to the MD with a key focus of sourcing new suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices which will enhance the current supply chain.

Overall, Mission:

• Select source according to category plans, and negotiate price, for new items within new customer projects.
• Support global Category Management sourcing activities internally and externally, drive overall purchasing performance and support transformative change efforts across the business.
• Responsible for contributing to and implementing global category strategy across the Group.
• Responsible for achieving performance targets set by Global Procurement Manager, Site Procurement Manager and Global Category Manager by leveraging total cost of ownership levers, enhancing the overall effectiveness of the organization, and cooperating with key stakeholders within the Group.
