The Role: Quality Lead
Location: Towcester
Salary: £32-£40k DOE PLUE O/T at time and one half
Status: Permanent
Hours: Standard 39hrs per week
Your Mission: To play a “hands-on” role with the potential to lead and motivate a small inspection department; and with the confidence to communicate with customers regarding any quality matters. Contribute to the Company’s quality procedures and help directors prepare for audits etc
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection of work at all critical stages from process approval, masking, and final inspection/packaging for dispatch.
- Ensure that documentation and processing comply with customer requirements, best practice, established systems and process standards, and provided specifications.
- Raise any omissions or non-conformances with the appropriate person.
- Record any non-conformances using both internal Non-Conformance Reporting system and where necessary, in accordance with customer’s own NCR system. Ensure that corrective action is taken.
- Monitor and record media condition in line with quality system procedures.
- Monitor all other key elements affecting process quality (e.g. control of blacking solutions, coatings) are carried out as specified and records maintained.
- Deal with customers on any quality matters.
- Undertake internal quality audits in accordance with the clients Quality Policy.
- To contribute to audit preparation and participate in regular external audits.
The Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experienced in quality systems and procedures.
Leadership skills
Hands-on
Background within motorsport or aerospace
Ideally experienced in Coatings
