Hours: Monday–Friday
Start time between 7:30am–8:00am
Finish time between 3:00pm–4:00pm
Pay: £14.00 per hour

About the Role

Our client is a small friendly family business is looking for a reliable and practical Yard / Forklift / Warehouse Operator to join their small, close-knit team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys a physical, varied working day and takes pride in doing things properly.

You’ll be involved in product handling, bagging operations, and general warehouse and yard duties, working alongside two other team members to keep site operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Filling 1-tonne bulk bags with seed from silos and moving pallets of goods around the building using a forklift
• Overseeing the operation of a fully automated 25kg bagging line, including:
  • Keeping the line supplied with paper sacks
  • Operating the pallet wrapping machine
  • Intervening when bags split or break
• Ensuring correct labelling, sampling, and recording of finished products (simple but important paperwork procedures)
• Loading lorries and containers with pallets of delicate goods, ensuring care and accuracy
• General yard and warehouse duties, including keeping the site tidy and assisting with wider site tasks as part of a small team

About You

• Reliable, practical, and happy working in a warehouse/yard environment
• Forklift experience preferred (licence desirable but not essential)
• Comfortable with basic paperwork and following procedures
• Able to work well as part of a small team
• Good attention to detail, especially when handling and loading goods
